Roman Abramovich has had his assets frozen in new UK sanctions against Russian oligarchs;

👉 He can no longer sell Chelsea
👉 The club can’t sell tickets or merchandise
👉 The club can’t sign new players or sell current ones
👉 No current player can sign a new contract

UK Government: “Abramovich is associated with a person who is/has been involved in destabilising Ukraine & undermining/threatening territorial integrity, sovereignty & independence of Ukraine, namely Vladimir_Putin, with whom (he) has had close relationship for decades.” 🧐

Chelsea will not be able to sign or sell any players under these new sanctions and no current player will be able to sign a new contract.

Chelsea can’t even sell merchandise under these new UK government sanctions.

Chelsea will not be allowed to sell more tickets following Roman Abramovich’s sanctioning. Only season ticket holders can attend future matches.

The Government would need to give special dispensation for the sale of Chelsea, and no money could go to Roman Abramovich either directly or indirectly.
